Overview
Supported by YSEALI and the U.S. Embassy, the AgroEco Farmer App is a comprehensive web platform designed to empower agricultural communities. It provides farmers with digital tools to sell, trade, and exchange resources while accessing valuable knowledge on sustainable farming practices. Building technology that directly supports and uplifts farming families brings a deep, meaningful resonance to this collaborative project.
Objective
The primary objective was to engineer a collaborative and educational digital space that bridges the gap between modern tech and traditional agriculture. My specific focus was on architecting the Marketplace and Learning Hub, alongside developing a dynamic Community Forum and an interactive Farm Map to foster a stronger, more connected network of growers.
Process
Working within a collaborative team, I utilized Next.js and Tailwind CSS to build a highly responsive and accessible frontend. I integrated Supabase for robust backend data management and Cloudflare R2 for efficient media storage. I developed the logic for the Marketplace's product listings and trade requests, as well as the content structures for the Learning Hub's how-to guides and model farm stories. A major technical milestone was successfully integrating the Google Maps API to power the Farm Map, enabling visual, location-based community building.

The platform stands as a vital resource for modernizing agricultural exchange and education. By delivering an accessible digital infrastructure, the app fosters a more sustainable and economically connected agricultural ecosystem.
